Mays Alrudaini
Paralegal (Corporate and Commercial Real Estate)
Mays Alrudaini provides legal support to the Commercial Real Estate section representing entrepreneurs, developers, investors, landlords, and financial institutions, and focusing on facilitating various real estate transactions including commercial sales and acquisitions, equity and construction loans and modifications, as well as evaluating LOIs and client business terms relating to lease agreements and purchase and sale agreements. She routinely interfaces with client business teams regarding critical deadlines and due diligence review pertaining to analysis of title and survey matters.
Mays has also served the Firm as a corporate paralegal assisting with the formation and restructuring of domestic and foreign entities and representation of private investment funds, drafting and reviewing company agreements and organizational charts, interfacing with investors and shareholders regarding federal and state securities filings, and maintaining corporate records.
Mays earned a Master of Arts in English Linguistics from the University of Baghdad and a certificate in Paralegal Studies from Southern Methodist University.
She has extensive executive support experience within and without the law, having managed the United States Agency for International Development in the Office of Public Policy, working alongside ministry staff from Iraq and the United States to implement public policy. In her free time, Mays enjoys traveling, playing with her cat, and working out.

Becky Caddell
Senior Paralegal (Corporate)
Becky is a Senior Corporate Paralegal supporting the Corporate Section of the Firm. Prior to joining the Firm, Becky filled roles in both a large international law firm and a small boutique firm, and has been involved primarily in corporate governance, securities law and mergers and acquisitions, with secondary exposure to real estate finance, tax and estate planning. Becky has supported numerous major transactions from the due diligence phase through closing. She also served via in-house roles with legal departments of public and private companies engaged in technology development, manufacturing, venture capital, franchising, and family office.
Becky commands substantive knowledge of and practical experience in related state and federal law; and has served as a paralegal team leader on major legal transactions and projects. She has been responsible for management and training of legal support personnel across multiple practice areas.

Dylan Delay
Paralegal (Commercial Real Estate)
Dylan DeLay provides legal support to the commercial real estate section, concentrating on managing transactions, including coordination of title and survey review, closing, and post-closing. Before joining the real estate team, he handled client intake for the firm and aided the litigation section with case management.
Dylan earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Arkansas, where he also worked as a writing tutor. In his free time, he enjoys reading, trying new coffee shops, cooking for friends, and spending time with his cat.

Anna Jackson
Paralegal (Litigation)
Anna Jackson has nearly a decade of experience in intellectual property litigation and general litigation. She graduated from Mercer University with a BA in English, near her hometown in Macon, Georgia. Anna’s career started with supporting eminent domain litigation for a State Appointed Attorney General in Georgia. She relocated to the Dallas area in 2019 to pursue career opportunities in the field and has since offered diligent support in a IP litigation cases in federal district courts across the nation.
Anna has a background in marketing for international clients, and in her free time, she enjoys gaming, reading, gardening, cooking, and baking, and is a co-coordinator of the State Banana Pudding Festival of Georgia.

Rachel Magdaleno
Paralegal (Litigation)
Rachel joins the Litigation Section with extensive experience managing cases in areas such as commercial litigation, insurance defense, employment, products liability, banking, medical malpractice, personal injury, family law, and will contests. She handles all phases of complex litigation, including pre-filing, discovery, research, hearings, depositions, eDiscovery, trial prep, and trial. Rachel collaborates closely with attorneys to develop strategies, draft pleadings and motions, manage deadlines, and oversee document production and filings in federal and state courts. She also works with clients, court personnel, and vendors.
Rachel holds an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies from El Paso Community College and is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a member of the Texas Paralegal Division and the Dallas Area Paralegal Association. Rachel has also presented at the Institute for Paralegal Education. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Originally from El Paso, Rachel now lives in Dallas. In her free time, she enjoys walks at White Rock Lake with her dog Pepper, trying new restaurants, traveling, attending concerts, playing pickleball, baking, and supporting the Dallas Cowboys. She’s also an avid fan of Pink Floyd and Frank Sinatra, and a proud mom to Ritchie, Pepper, and Bailey.

Mara Martinez
Senior Paralegal (Litigation)
Mara Martinez has a solid foundation as a litigation paralegal. She has an ABA approved Associates Degree in Legal Science, and over 20 years of experience. During her career, she has had the pleasure of assisting attorneys with various pro-bono cases, primarily in family law, including cases with only Spanish-speaking individuals. Mara’s experience as a paralegal goes beyond family law, however, as she has supported attorneys in cases involving arbitration, contract disputes, and employment. Additionally, she possesses trial experience at both federal and state court levels. Mara is a graduate from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Citizen Academy and enjoys volunteering her time as a way to give back to the community. Reading, writing, gardening, and home-remodeling projects are things she enjoys doing, but above all, she treasures spending time with her family.

Carolyn Perkins
Paralegal (Litigation)
Carolyn is a Paralegal supporting the Bankruptcy & Restructuring and Litigation Sections of the Firm. Before joining the Firm, she worked at both large international and boutique law firms, where she focused on preparing, filing and management of complex bankruptcy cases. She also assisted with all aspects of litigation support, including the filing of lawsuits, pre-trial discovery, trial preparation and post-trial appeals and proceedings.
In her spare time, Carolyn is involved in local politics and animal rescue, and enjoys reading, going to movies, discovering hole-in the wall restaurants, and spending time with her two cats.

Amber Wheeler
Paralegal (Litigation)
Amber Wheeler is a litigation paralegal with over 12 years of experience in various areas of practice. She graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Tarrant County College, and while working towards receiving her degree, she interned for Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas. Amber has since worked on cases involving commercial litigation, insurance defense, contract disputes, and complex litigation, including fraud and bankruptcy. She has assisted attorneys with all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial discovery to trial preparation and post-trial proceedings. She also routinely interfaces with clients, providing them with updates and guidance on their cases. Amber is a member of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division, and in her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
