When John is away from the office he channels his interest in sports into positive community service. He is the director of the Volley for Jenna Volleyball Tournament, which raises money to fund scholarships to honor the memory of his sister, who was a high school volleyball player. He also serves on the executive committee of The Frisco Bowl college football game and participates in golf tournaments that support local charities. In addition, he stays active in his church.
