Christopher Harbin focuses on complex commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, and bankruptcy matters, with a particular emphasis on representing financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors, trustees, and other stakeholders in sophisticated Chapter 11 cases and related litigation.
Christopher began his career at a major multinational law firm, where he quickly developed into a first-chair trial attorney handling high-profile, high-stakes disputes in state and federal courts. Today, his practice centers on complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters across a broad range of industries and issues, including corporate fraud, shareholder disputes, intellectual property litigation, and contested insolvency proceedings.
Christopher regularly represents creditors, financial institutions, Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees, and other parties in interest in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters. His experience spans cash collateral disputes, plan confirmation and post-confirmation issues, claims objections, objections to exemptions, dischargeability litigation, adversary proceedings, avoidance and recovery actions, and disputes involving the assumption, assignment, and rejection of executory contracts and leases
In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Christopher has extensive trial and litigation experience in high-value commercial disputes. He has successfully litigated or resolved millions in preference and fraudulent transfer actions on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
Outside of his practice, Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, playing ice hockey in local recreational leagues, and collecting and restoring vintage arcade and pinball machines.
