Audra White’s practice focuses on the formation and representation of private investment funds and their sponsors, including hedge funds, venture capital, private equity and real estate funds, as well as the structuring and formation of special purpose investment vehicles, joint ventures and other bespoke investment structures.
Audra’s passion is helping both emerging and established fund managers efficiently navigate today’s commercial and regulatory environment in order to successfully launch and grow their businesses. In addition to her past experience at major international law firms, she worked as Operations Director at an emerging New York-based hedge fund, where she learned firsthand that running a successful fund requires so much more than being an excellent investor; it requires operating a multi-faceted business in which the manager must confront on a daily basis legal, fundraising, compliance, regulatory and logistical hurdles – often with limited budgets and personnel. It is the aim of her practice to demystify the fund launch process so that her clients can focus their energy on what they do best.
Audra is admitted to practice in Texas and New York. Prior to joining Platt Richmond, Audra practiced at international firms including Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
